This
cozy 1790 farmhouse sits on 15 acres in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont.
We offer our guests a small bit of the New England experience in three spacious
bedrooms with queen
size beds and private baths. Each bedroom has old American charm with beautiful
wide board pumpkin pine floors, original artwork and hand made quilts.
We
invite guests to enjoy the hospitality of our home as well as the serenity
of their rooms. There is a comfortable living/dining room with a conversation
area surrounding the fireplace where you can meet other
guests, read, or daydream. In the solarium, watch the numerous varieties
of birds and our turkeys feeding at the bird sanctuary.
Also in the solarium is a reading nook, television and piano for your
enjoyment. Or relax on the front porch and enjoy the sunrise.
The
Olde Farmhouse is located within minutes of downhill and cross country
skiing at Mt. Snow, Stratton, and Grafton Ponds. In the summer months
there are eight local state parks where there is swimming, boating,
white water rafting and fishing. We are located in a prime area for
antique shops and art galleries and of course, foliage.
Enjoy
a hearty country breakfast with a choice of fresh fruits, home made
cakes and muffins, a variety of egg dishes, pancakes, bacon & sausages
and french toast. Coffee and tea are available for early risers and
breakfast is served on your schedule. Please let us know if you have
any special dietary needs.
